2021

Symposium

The GSO Symposium was held virtually via zoom on February 25-26th, 2021.
Program
Description:
Because the symposium was entirely virtual, all were welcome to attend! We encouraged folks with an interest in natural resources and the work of the MSU fisheries and wildlife department to attend.

Though most of the attendees hailed from Michigan (150 folks registered), we had participants from throughout the United States and even all over the world! Illinois and Washington were well represented, but someone tuned in from Algeria!

Symposium co-chairs:
Amber Johnston (john4057[at]msu.edu)
Emily Mensch (menschem[at]msu.edu)

Additionally there was a Virtual Happy Hour and Game Night organized by the FW Club that was attended by undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty alike! Team names included "The Binturongs" and "Toxic Birds Exist." Kudos to everyone who tried pictionary with their eyes closed or had to hum/whistle a wildlife themed song
